For your question, each portrait varies on how long it takes to complete.
The fastest I’ve gotten one done would probably be 4-5 hours and the longest would be days. It really all depends on several things like: my motivation, amount of detail or the size of my paper.
About the lumograph on watercolor paper: I started trying that out to see what the end result would look like with the added texture and found that I liked it; sometimes I feel like I can control the shading better with it. :)
